Contracts, Rights & Exclusivity
A collaboration contract describes what a brand may do with a creator's work, for how long, and under what restrictions. Use this collection to identify the clauses you need to understand before approving a deal. Check the actual language and obtain qualified advice where needed; a checklist cannot interpret a contract or replace legal review.
Read the Permission, Not Just the Fee
Use the creator usage rights checklist to ask which content is licensed, on which platforms, for how long, in which markets, and whether paid advertising or whitelisting is included. The influencer usage rights guide gives context for these questions. If the brand wants additional paid use, the usage rights payment scenario helps you prepare a discussion; it does not establish a universal rate.
Identify Constraints and Missing Terms
Check whether exclusivity limits other partnerships, for which categories and period, using the exclusivity checklist. Then compare the scope, approvals, revision rules, and termination terms with the brand deal contract checklist. Flag language that is missing or ambiguous instead of assuming a default permission.
Hand Off to the Deal Decision
If a condition must change, take the specific clause to Negotiation & Counteroffers. Confirm that agreed rights align with the deliverables and payment triggers in Deal Scope, Payment & Delivery. Do not sign or promise rights based only on a generated draft or summary.
